Tenant FAQs

Renting with LPPM

Applications, showings, maintenance, and everything else Ottawa renters ask.

How do I apply for a rental?

Find a listing you like and submit an inquiry through the LPPM team. We will guide you through the next steps and let you know what information is needed for your application.

What documents are required?

Most applications require photo ID, proof of income or employment, and references. LPPM will confirm the exact requirements for the property you are applying for.

How do I book a showing?

Reach out about the specific listing you are interested in and the team will coordinate a showing time that works for you when possible.

How long does approval take?

Most applications are reviewed within a couple of business days once all documents have been submitted.

How do I report maintenance?

Current tenants can submit maintenance requests to the LPPM team. From there, the issue is reviewed and repairs are coordinated with the appropriate service provider.

Who do I contact in an emergency?

For urgent issues, contact the emergency line or contact method provided at move-in. Emergency issues should be reported right away.

How do I pay rent?

Rent payment options are set up during lease signing. LPPM will confirm the process before your tenancy begins.

Are pets allowed?

Pet policies depend on the specific property. If you are interested in a listing, ask the team about the pet policy before applying.
